Benefits of Khajoor Roll
Khajoor (Dates) are a great source of vitamins, minerals,
calcium, and iron. Dates can instantly reduce the cholesterol and helps to
manage your weight. Dates can strengthen your bone and make it strong. Dates
are an excellent source of vitamin C and D which helps to maintain your skin
elasticity and keeps your skin smooth. Dates also come with anti-aging
properties and prevent the accumulation of melanin. Walnuts are rich in omega-3
fats and contain higher amounts of antioxidants than most other foods. Eating
walnuts may improve brain health and prevent heart disease and cancer. Dates
and walnuts are important ingredients of Khajoor roll. Here is a simple recipe
for Khajoor roll.
Ingredients
- Dates (Khajoor) seedless - 250 grams
- Walnut - 250 grams
- Ghee - 1 tbsp
Method
- Chop the dates into small pieces and keep them aside.
- Crush walnuts roughly.
- In a kadhai, heat ghee and the chopped dates and saute them till it becomes soft. Let it cook for 5-6 minutes.
- Now add the crushed walnuts and mix it well. Let it cook for another 5 minutes on low heat. Make sure the mixture is soft and well blended.
- Take a plastic foil and spread it on a greased thali. Take the mixture and spread it evenly on the greased thali and let it cool.
- When cool roll tightly the mixture into rolls with the help of plastic foil.
- Keep it in the fridge for at least 1 hour to set.
- Cut it into pieces and it is ready to serve.
