A fluffy, flat and, circular piece of cooked batter made from milk, sugar, and flour is called a pancake. Pancakes are made using the most basic ingredients which are easily available at home. They are not just your weekend food, you can enjoy them on any day. They are basically eaten as breakfast in every part of the world. But nowadays they are eaten at any time. They are best tasted with maple syrup, honey, and sometimes chocolate syrup. Pancakes are made with different flavors like simple vanilla, chocolate, or blueberry. Pancakes can be made in any size and shape you like and garnish it using delicious fruits, chocolate chips, and whipped cream. Here is a simple recipe for homemade pancakes.
Ingredients
- Maida (Refined flour) - 1 & 1/2 cup
- Sugar - 2 tbsp
- Baking powder - 1 tbsp
- Baking soda - 1 tbsp
- Milk - 1 cup
- Butter - 2 tbsp
- Salt - 1 pinch
- Chocolate syrup
- Chocolate chips
Method
- In a large bowl whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and sugar.
- In a another bowl heat the milk, and add the butter. Mix together until the butter is completely melted.
- Now add the milk and butter mixture into the flour and mix it well. Make sure to remove all the lumps.
- Keep the mixture aside for few 10 minutes.
- Heat a frying pan on medium heat and add some butter.
- After the butter is melted pour the batter into the pan.
- When the bottom of the pancakes is golden brown and bubbles start to appear on top of it flip it. Make sure the other side is also golden brown.
- Repeat the same with remaining batter and there is no need to add butter all over again.
- Garnish them with chocolate chips and chocolate sauce.
- You can also add fruits like banana, strawberry or blueberry with whipped cream and maple syrup.
